Join us for our very first Audiobook Sunday Stroll with Libro.fm and Hello Darling Books & Beyond!
On Sunday, June 14th at 9 AM, we’ll kick off the morning with a nice stroll in the beautiful downtown McHenry/Riverwalk area. We will capture a few moments along the way with some group pictures and make one of our last stops at Ateaco Coffee and Tea (Off Riverside Drive) where you can grab your favorite drink and head back to Hello Darling for a light discussion of what we just listened to!
Our featured audiobook pick is: Fever Dream by Elsie Silver!
What to bring:
• Earbuds or headphones
• Comfortable walking shoes & a chair to sit in at the end of the walk
To participate in the Audiobook Sunday Stroll, guests will need to have access to the featured audiobook through Libro.fm ONLY. We encourage participants to sign up for the membership through Hello Darling Books & Beyond and download the audio book (Elsie Silver - Fever Dream) before the event. Libro.fm allows you to support independent bookstores (Hello Darling specifically) while enjoying your audiobooks!

Our Route - We will begin at Hello Darling Books & Beyond (McHenry Riverwalk Shoppes) before heading up the Riverwalk bridge toward Green Street. From there, we’ll continue the troll across Route 120 and make our way through Veterans Memorial Park. After the park and the river views, we’ll head over to Ateaco Coffee and Tea on Riverside Drive where everyone can grab their favorite drink and treat before we head back to Hello Darling for our discussion.

This is a casual community walking event and all participants are responsible for following pedestrian safety guidelines and traffic laws throughout the stroll. Please remain aware of your surroundings while using earbuds or headphones, use designated crosswalks, obey traffic signals and stay with the group during the route. Comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate attire are encouraged. In the event of bad weather, we will inform all participants of a plan. BY participating, guests acknowledge they are joining at their own discretion and responsibility. Thank you, darlings.
